belly button ring problem!!?
Alright, I've had my belly button pierced for a year and I can't change the belly ring because it's stuck. I can't twice the top ball or the bottom to get it undone. I can't go to my original piercer b/c I got it done in Florida and I live in North Carolina. My husband thinks he can cut it off with tin cutter or pliers and shave off the spurs and get it off that way. Is this safe? or do i need to go to a professional? if so, how much would it cost? or if someone else has/had a similar problem, explain to me how you took care of it....thanks!
I meant twist...not twice...sry!
I had this problem - I had my navel pierced with obviously poor quality titanium coated jewellery even though it was supposed to be titanium - My body doesnt cope to well with stainless steel I have like an allergic reaction and the titanium coating was coming off the jewellery so I went to change it to a gold - the ball wouldnt move - I have all the correct tools to help in this situation and I still couldnt get it to move so went to the a different piercer (by the way you can go to any piercer you dont have to go to where you originally had it done) the piercer had a lot of trouble getting the ball to move also - she tried cutting it off but her tools wouldnt do it but eventually with a lot of pulling and tugging and twisting got the ball off - the ball had been cross threaded when it was put on - my advice go somewhere and have someone do it for you - my piercer (the second one) only charged me $5 for the changeover as I had, had my own jewellery and it was pre autoclaved - it might cost you more if you have to buy your jewellery as well or they have to run your jewellery through the autoclave
OH and if you do cut the ball off - be careful there are no sharp edges before pulling it through your piercing or you may cut yourself and have to heal again - not good - this is why I suggest you get someone to do it for you.
